The former chairman, Pension Reform Task Team Abdulrasheed Maina, was, on Thursday, wheeled into Court 6 of the Federal High Court, Abuja, where his bail application is expected to be taken.

Maina had on October 25, been arraigned alongside a firm, Common Input Property and Investment Ltd, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) before Justice Okon Abang.

Maina who is the first defendant while the company is the second defendant in the case  was charged with 12 counts bordering on money laundering, operating fictitious bank accounts and fraud.

It could be recall that Maina was not in court on Monday when the case was called for adjournment till Tuesday to take his application, seeking an abridgement of time to hear his bail application earlier fixed for November 19 and also for the continuation of evidence by the prosecution’s first witness.

The indisposition of Maina at the court on Monday had made Justice Abang to adjourned the ruling on bail application until November 7.
