The Police in Lagos State, on Monday, summoned a 50-year-elderly person, Babatunde Rasak, in a Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court, over supposed endeavor to snatch two youngsters.

The respondent, whose house address was obscure, is being taken a stab at two counts of kidnapping and break of public harmony.

The Prosecution Counsel, ASP Clement Okuiomose, let the court know that the litigant committed the offense on Aug.18, at around 8:30 a.m., at Comforter Area, Oko-Afo, Badagry, Lagos.

Okuiomose claimed that the respondent supposedly behaved in a way prone to cause break of public harmony when he endeavored to kidnap the complainant, Ramota Bello’s two youngsters.

The examiner let the court know that the respondent had supposedly slipped into the complainant’s home without sensible legitimization with the goal to kidnap the two youngsters.

The investigator said that the offenses contradicted the arrangements of segments 268 and 168 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Rasak, nonetheless, argued not blameworthy to the charges.

The Chief Magistrate, Fadahunsi Adefioye, conceded the respondent bail in the amount of N500,000 with two guarantees in like total.

Adefioye dismissed the case until Oct.17, for notice.
