…Red Devils revive interest in Leipzig star Šeško
…Amorim prioritises new forward after poor Premier League finish
Manchester United have drawn up a shortlist of three potential strikers as they push to strengthen their attack before the close of the summer transfer window.
Football transfer expert Ben Jacobs disclosed that RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Šeško has returned to the radar of the Red Devils, who had previously made an attempt to sign him 12 months ago.
Šeško isn’t the only name in the frame. Manchester United are also considering Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins as part of their renewed efforts to boost their frontline options.
The move signals the club’s urgency to reshape its attacking unit following a disappointing campaign that saw them finish in the bottom half of the Premier League standings.
Manager Rúben Amorim is under pressure to deliver results in the upcoming season, and securing a proven No. 9 has now become a top priority at Old Trafford.
United’s previous approach for Šeško was turned down, but the 21-year-old Slovenian striker remains a strong fit for Amorim’s style of play. Watkins’ goal-scoring prowess at Villa and Jackson’s pace and movement also make them attractive targets.
With the clock ticking down on the summer window, Manchester United are expected to accelerate talks in the coming weeks to finalise a deal that could help reverse their fortunes on the pitch.
