A 29-year-old man named Monday Ajasco has been detained by police in the state of Bauchi for reportedly stabbing his friend Abdulrazak Ibrahim, 30, to death over declining to purchase him a bottle of alcohol.

The victim was allegedly stabbed in the neck with a sharp animal horn by the suspect on November 16 at a beer joint in Bagel village.

Ahmed Wakil, the command’s spokeswoman, said in a statement on November 28 that Ajasco was detained on November 17 as a result of a tip-off.
