Mass burials were conducted for the over 96 people who perished in the brutal attacks carried out by bandits in Plateau State.

The bandits attacked various communities in the state’s Barkin-Ladi and Bokkos Local Government Areas, killing people and setting many buildings on fire.

It was discovered that on Christmas Eve, Sunday, December 24, the attacks took place in the Barkin Ladi Local Government Area’s Ruku, Hurum, Darwat, Mai Yanga Sabo, NTV villages in Gashish, and Ropp Districts, in addition to Bokkos LGA.

The Berom Youth Moulders Association, headed by Solomon Mwantiri, said that three victims were reported by Darwat, five by Mai Yanga Sabo, one by Hurum, and nine by NTV.

The surrounding villages of Bokkos were the most severely affected, with over forty people lost their lives, many more being injured, food being looted, and property being destroyed.
