The election took place on Saturday at the Union’s Zonal Secretariat along Osogbo/Ikirun road, with delegates from Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, and Ekiti states participating.

Acting National President Aliyu Issa-Ore, represented by National Finance Head Mrs. Adedamola Salam, affirmed that the Southwest zone followed the Union’s constitutional process in electing Oluomo. Delegates also chose Tajudeen Agbede as Vice President, Southwest, and Akeem Adeosun as Trustee.

After his oath, Oluomo called for peace and unity among members, adding, “I have forgiven everyone who has offended me, and I hope those I’ve wronged will do the same.” He vowed to safeguard the Union’s future, saying, “We will not let anyone destroy our means of livelihood.”
