Following the sad event that resulted in the deaths of several undergraduate students in a stampede, the Nasarawa State caucus in the House of Representatives recently visited Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) to offer their condolences.
The event, which happened on Friday, March 22, in the university’s Convocation Square, also caused injuries to a number of others, who are currently receiving medical attention.
The caucus members who visited NSUK were led by legislator Gbefwi Jonathan Gaza and included Reps. Abubakar Sarki Dahiru, Hassan Nalaraba, Abdulmumin Ari, and Jeremiah Umaru.
The university’s vice-chancellor, professor Muhammad Bala Suleiman, gave them a warm reception.
The caucus members expressed their sympathy to the university’s employees and students who were impacted by the unfortunate event while they were there.
They emphasized their commitment to helping the university community in any manner they can, and they also promised to support the university administration during this trying time.
