As part of its preseason overseas tour, Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami FC will play Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr in 2024, the Major League Soccer (MLS) team said on Monday.
The MLS team said in an official statement that it will “make the Club’s first-ever international tour, which will include a preseason trip to Saudi Arabia in 2024 to compete in the Riyadh Season Cup.” The Saudi powerhouses Al-Hilal SFC and Al Nassr FC will be the opponents in the team’s two domestic round-robin competition games.
On January 29, Inter Miami will play Al-Hilal; on February, there will be a major matchup versus Al Nassr. The Kingdom Arena in Riyadh is the venue for both games.
The team’s first international tour includes stops in El Salvador and Hong Kong in addition to the three-team round-robin Riyadh Season Cup.
Chief business officer of Inter Miami Xavier Asensi stated, “This is another major opportunity to create lasting relationships with passionate fans.”
“We hope that fans everywhere will be watching two incredible matches like these, and we are thrilled to connect with new supporters in Saudi Arabia.”
