In an interview with Fabrizio Romano for ‘433,’ Lionel Messi reflected on his future, the 2026 World Cup, and life beyond football. Though still enjoying his playing days, Messi ruled out a future in coaching, saying, “I wouldn’t like to be a coach… I just think about playing, training, and having fun.”

On potentially playing in the 2026 World Cup, Messi expressed uncertainty: “I don’t know… I’m going to live day to day without thinking too much about the future.”

Reflecting on his career, he expressed deep gratitude for his achievements with Barcelona and Argentina: “My biggest dream was to win the World Cup… I am very grateful to God for everything I have been through.”

Messi also shared his excitement about Inter Miami’s progress, especially as they prepare for the playoffs. “The real title we want is the MLS,” he noted, emphasizing the club’s limitless, growth-focused vision.
