Former Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami from Kebbi would be facing Senate screening on Friday.

Others billed for Friday are Sen. Hadi Sirika (Katsina), Clement Anade Agba (Edo), Alhaji Lai Mohammed (Kwara), Mrs. Pauline Tallen (Plateau), Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi (Sokoto), Goddy Jedy-Agba (Cross River) and Engr. Sulaiman Holds. Adamu (Jigawa).

The Senate has so far screened fourteen nominees out of 43 submitted by President Muhammadu Buhari in an exercise that began on Wednesday.

Out of 14 screened as at Thursday, PREMIER NEWSPAPER  reports that 10 nominees were asked to take a bow and go, while four others were made to explain some issues bothering on the economy.

The Senate resumes Friday to continue the exercise in line with earlier resolution to sit on odd days in order to meet with time before proceeding on the two months annual recess.

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan said: “In line with our earlier resolution to sit on Friday and Monday for purposes of screening, Senate has adjourned till Friday by 10am.”
