Ikedi Ohakim, a former governor of Imo State, referred to the passing of former deputy governor Engr. Ebere Udeagu as heartbreaking.

Ohakim expressed his sadness over Udeagu’s passing in a message of condolence.

Prince Eze Madumere, a former deputy governor of the state, also referred to the departure of one of the Udeagu who served in the government of Achike Udenwa in 1999 as a tremendous loss.

Madumere emphasized that Udeagu was a great gentleman who, even up until the end, was eager to do anything he could to advance the state’s growth.

I express my condolences to the Udeagu family, the Okigwe zone, and the state at large for this tragic loss.

He came to see me several times when I was in office, and we had remarkable conversations that were loaded with The late Engr. Udeagu had cult-like devotees, according to “His Excellency.” This is true since he positively affected people’s lives and provided Achike Udenwa with all the resources he needed to succeed.

Madumere prayed to God to give the state and the family the strength to deal with the loss.

Udeagu passed away at the age of 79 early yesterday morning.

From 1999 to 2007, he worked as the deputy governor in the office of the State’s former governor, Achike Udenwa.

He was from Ihube in the Okigwe local government area of Imo State and was a professional water engineer.

According to reports, Udeagu passed away early yesterday in Owerri.
