  • US President Trump’s Adviser Eyes $1 Trillion Federal Budget Reduction

  • DOGE Has Already Saved Taxpayers $115 Billion – Musk

  • White House-Backed Cost-Cutting Plan Nears Completion

Elon Musk, adviser to US President Donald Trump, has vowed to slash $1 trillion from federal spending before his tenure ends in just 64 days.

Speaking in an interview with Fox News on Thursday, Musk expressed confidence that his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) could trim total federal spending from approximately $7 trillion to $6 trillion.

DAILY POST reports that the White House appointed Musk as a special government employee, limiting his service to 130 days. His leadership of the DOGE initiative could wrap up as early as May.

“I believe we will complete most of the work needed to cut the deficit by a trillion dollars within this period,” Musk asserted.

According to him, the government is riddled with inefficiencies, waste, and fraud, making a 15% reduction feasible without disrupting critical services.

As of March 24, DOGE estimates it has already saved taxpayers $115 billion by streamlining the workforce, liquidating assets, and canceling costly contracts.
