The state capital of Akure saw large crowds at many ATM locations, but no cash was actually given out.
At the roadway, including the overhead bridge in Oregon, passengers were still trapped as of the time of publication.
Also, the protesters built bonfires on the highway.
Some of the demonstrators claimed they were struggling because they couldn’t access their bank accounts’ funds.
There is no vehicular mobility here, the masses are suffering, there is hunger, we are protesting to voice our complaints.
Jimoh, a different demonstrator, claimed he visited more than five banks but was told there was “no cash.”
