The National Assembly has postponed the resumption of plenary activities by two weeks.

In a statement signed by the Clerk to the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana, Esq., the earlier resumption date of Tuesday, September 23, 2025, has now been shifted to Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

According to the circular, the decision was directed by the presiding officers of both chambers of the National Assembly.

The Clerk, however, explained that all committee activities would continue as scheduled despite the postponement.

“Distinguished Senators and Honourable Members are requested to take note of the new date and adjust their schedules accordingly. Any inconvenience caused by this rescheduling is deeply regretted,” the statement read in part.

The postponement comes as the legislature prepares for a busy calendar of debates and legislative engagements following the long recess.
