Anthony Edwards led the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 130-121 victory over the visiting Washington Wizards on Tuesday, scoring a career-high 51 points on 17-for-29 from the field.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker scored 23 points off the bench for Minnesota, which has won four of its last five games. Rudy Gobert had 19 points and 16 rebounds, while Mike Conley scored 15 points.

The Timberwolves share the Western Conference lead with the Denver Nuggets.

Corey Kispert scored 25 points and Jordan Poole had 24, but the Wizards lost for the fourth straight time.
