Colonel Hameed Ibrahim Ali, the Comptroller General of Customs, has vowed to assist the Nigerian Army in fulfilling its constitutional duty to safeguard the nation’s territorial integrity.
The CGC was represented at the 2022 COAS summit, according to a statement provided to newsmen in Sokoto by the public relations officer (PRO) of Sokoto command deputy superintendent of Customs AT Abubakar.
The CGC thanked the Nigerian Army leadership for recognizing the amount of service and contributions made to the Nigerian Army in his remarks made shortly after collecting the honor.
At the current Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference being held at the International Conference Center, Colonel Hameed Ali (Rtd) was one of six illustrious and well-known individuals to receive the Nigerian Army award of gratitude.
President Muhammadu Buhari gave the recipient the coveted award of appreciation from the Nigerian Army in honor of the CGC and the Service’s exceptional synergy, cooperation, and partnership with the Nigerian Army.
He declared that the Nigerian Customs Service NCS will keep providing timely information and logistics while being prompt and punctual in the clearance of military gear and equipment.
At the event, CGC Colonel Hameed Ali (Retd) was present.
Assistant Comptroller General BU Gimba, Deputy Comptroller General HK Gummi, and Comptroller A Ma’aji had a conference.
Following the recognition, DCG Gummi promised the Nigerian Army that the Service would continue to provide unwavering assistance as it carried out its constitutionally mandated duty of preserving Nigeria’s territorial integrity and that of its people.
The president of the Dangote Group, the chairman of UBA, the chairman of Zenith Bank, and Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, a former chief of the Army staff, are among the other recipients of the NA award.
