The National Examinations Council (NECO) confirmed on Wednesday that all 72,138 examiners engaged for the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination have received their allowances. NECO, in a statement by Acting Director of Information Azeez Sani, shared that payments began on October 4 and were processed bank-by-bank for accuracy.

As of November 13, all examiner allowances have been fully paid across the 24 banks involved, despite initial issues with some bank details. NECO dismissed social media claims suggesting intentional delays, urging examiners to contact NECO directly for any clarifications. “NECO values the dedication of its examiners and will continue to ensure timely payment for their efforts,” the statement added.
