On Tuesday, representatives from the Kaduna State government and the National Emergency Management Agency paid a visit to the Tudun Biri Community located in the Igabi Local Government Area of the state.
Photos posted on NEMA’s official X Twitter late on Tuesday revealed this.
“The NEMA North West Zone Abbani Imam Garki, the zonal coordinator, has led other staff members on a condolence visit and to assess the damage caused by the recent airstrike in Tudun Biri Community of Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna,” the caption stated.
“On arrival, the team met on the ground the Kaduna State Government officials, which were headed by the Deputy Governor, Hadiza Sabuwa, in the company of the Chief of Staff to the State Governor, Sani Kila.”
It was previously reported that on Sunday night, during a religious festival in Tudun Biri, civilians were inadvertently hit by an airstrike meant to drive out militants.
Additionally, it was discovered that the number of fatalities from the event had risen to 120, as verified by Amnesty International representatives who conducted visits to the impacted villages.
