The Oyo State Police Command has a new Commissioner of Police, or CP. Adebola Hamzat is who he is.
Former CP Adebowale Williams, who was recently appointed to the position of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), was removed by the new police chief.
According to information obtained by Vanguard, Adebowale began his duties as the 32nd AIG in command of the Zone 7 headquarters in Abuja last Friday.
The Police Service Commission, or PSC, approved the appointment and made it public.
