Tunji Wusu –

The Nigerian Air Force has disregarded a NAF job posting that has been making the rounds on social media as false and an attempt to con potential candidates.

In a statement released on Monday in Abuja, NAF Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet stated that “NAF is not recruiting” and cautioned potential recruits against falling victim to scammers.

In addition to reminding Nigerians that the NAF just graduated recruits from Basic Military Training Course 43/2022 on July 8, Gabkwet claimed that the advertisement did not originate from the NAF.

Every time the NAF is recruiting, the general public will be well informed, he claimed.

“The public is once more reminded that the NAF’s recruitment and selection procedures are completely free and without reward. Any person who pays money in any manner does so at their own peril.

Additionally, there are no recruitment agencies involved in the NAF recruitment process; therefore, anyone claiming to work for the NAF in this capacity is a fraud.

“The NAF wishes to advise prospective applicants to promptly report anyone who solicits payments to the nearest NAF Unit or the Nigeria Police Force,” the official stated.
