President Muhammadu Buhari has declared open the 16th ordinary session of the Committee of Intelligence and Security Services of Africa, CISSA, holding in Abuja.

Almost 300 heads of security agencies in Africa, are currently attending the opening ceremony at the headquarters of National Intelligence Agency NIA.

President Buhari called for more collaboration among African countries to tackle the outflow of illicit funds.

The programme with the theme “Illicit Financial Outflows from Africa and their Impact on National Security and Development” aims to also address the challenges of social media platforms used to propagate the spread of terrorism as well as hate speech in the African continent.
