According to the Nigerian Police, an illicit weapons manufacturing was discovered in Jos, the capital of Plateau State.
The force’s spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, revealed this information early on Thursday through a series of tweets, stating that the location was the discovery of many locally manufactured firearms as well as a fake AK-47 by security personnel.
Adejobi declared that in order to guarantee safety, the army is ready to work with the site operators.
“A few of the fabrication machines that were found at the gun factory in Jos,” he stated. Many expertly constructed firearms were found at the location. Look at how flawless the fake AK-47 is. It’s astounding.
These handguns were all made in the Jos factory, which is located locally. These guys have skill. For our own benefit, we must work on them.”

Similar to this, in February, soldiers from Operation Safe Haven discovered and raided a rifle manufacture factory under Hakorin Damisa IV in Pakachi village, Mangu Local Government Area, North Central area.
One suspect, Plangji, was apprehended as a result of the operation, and numerous weapons and ammo—including AK-47 rifles, Dane guns, handguns, and other equipment used in weapon manufacture—were found.
In order to prevent the proliferation of illegal weapons and criminal activity, the Nigerian Army stressed the importance of cooperative efforts between security forces and local populations.
