Super Eagles defenders, Elderson Echiejile and William Troost-Ekong, have joined the Nigerian bandwagon in the Turkish League.

While Echiejile moved to newly promoted side, Sivasspor from AS Monaco, Troost-Ekong dumped Gent for Bursaspor.

Sivasspor is making a return to the top flight following a second place finish in the second tier whereas one-time Super Lig champions, Bursaspor, ended the previous campaign in 14th.

Both players were deemed surplus to requirement at their previous clubs

Echiejile, 29, was a peripheral figure at the Stade Louis II since linking up with the French champions in 2014.

The enterprising left-back made just 37 appearances, spending two successive seasons on loan at Anderlecht and Sporting Gijon.

Dutch born Troost-Ekong endured even worst ordeal in Belgium.
