…Subscribers assured of uninterrupted verification services
…Telecom operators to handle all NIN-SIM related issues

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has announced the full migration of telecommunications companies across Nigeria to its upgraded National Identification Number (NIN) verification platform, known as NINAuth.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Commission’s spokesperson, Kayode Adegoke, confirmed the development, describing it as a strategic move to improve service delivery and data protection for NIN holders nationwide.

With the new system in place, mobile subscribers can now enjoy seamless and uninterrupted access to NIN verification services. NIMC emphasized that any complaints or challenges related to new SIM registrations, SIM swaps, SIM migrations, or “Welcome Back” services must now be directed to the respective telecom operators for swift resolution.

“By migrating to this new platform, telecommunications firms can now provide uninterrupted verification services to their subscribers,” NIMC said.

The Commission noted that the NINAuth platform was designed to give Nigerians greater control over their data while ensuring efficient and secure digital identity verification.

“This achievement is a result of NIMC’s painstaking efforts to put the power to control NIN data in the hands of the holders,” Adegoke explained.

NIMAuth, according to the agency, not only strengthens personal data protection but also enhances the user experience by providing secure and convenient access to identity-based services.
