Nollywood Legend Fabian Adibe Dies at 82

Nollywood has lost one of its trailblazers as veteran actor Fabian Adibe passed away at the age of 82.

The Chief Executive Officer of Best Nollywood (BON), Seun Oloketuyi, confirmed the news in a social media post on Wednesday.

“Things Fall Apart actor, Fabian Adibie, is dead. Died 2:30 am this morning,” Oloketuyi wrote.

Adibe, widely celebrated for his role in the screen adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s literary classic Things Fall Apart, left an indelible mark on Nigerian cinema. His decades-long career featured several acclaimed performances that helped shape Nollywood’s identity.

As the entertainment industry mourns his passing, fans and colleagues have flooded social media with tributes, describing him as a “true legend” whose contributions will never be forgotten.
