The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has rescheduled the highly anticipated matchday 13 Oriental derby between Heartland and Rangers. Initially set for Sunday, November 24, the fixture will now take place on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.
The adjustment was prompted by logistical challenges Heartland faced following their matchday 12 game against Kano Pillars.
In a statement shared on social media, Heartland confirmed the change, citing player welfare and NPFL’s directive as key reasons. “Our Oriental derby clash with Rangers, originally slated for November 24, will now hold a day earlier. We regret any inconvenience this may cause and urge fans to continue supporting the team,” the club announced on X.
