During an altercation amongst nursing students in Asaba, Delta State, on Tuesday morning, at least five people suffered injuries of varying severity.
“The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCM) final qualifying exams for nurses was scheduled to begin today and being a computer-based test for the first time, all nursing institutions comprising of the department of nursing science DELSU, and the three schools of nursing (Warri, Eku, and Agbor) were all scheduled to take the exams at the Delta State e-Library, Asaba.
When some nursing school students were told they wouldn’t be taking the exams because of technical issues, everything went bananas.
The problem was caused by the nursing schools’ failure to register all students for the tests.
