Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has been invited by Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike to officially open a project in the state.
Yunusa Tanko, the LP Presidential Campaign Council’s spokeswoman, made the news on Twitter on Sunday.
The LP is getting closer to regaining Nigeria for Nigerians, according to Tanko, who uploaded a poster of the invitation on his Facebook.
The Nkpolu-Oroworukwo Flyover Bridge is the project that will be officially opened, and it will take place on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at the Nkpolu-Oroworukwo junction, Ikwerre road, Phalga, Rivers State.
“We are getting closer to regaining Nigeria for the Nigerian People,” tweeted Tanko. Come on over, Rivers State People.
Obidently and successfully, we keep moving. Arriving at the Aso villa.
Wike has welcomed representatives from rival political groups before to dedicate projects in Rivers.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos, was asked by the governor of Rivers to open the Orochiri-Worukwo (Waterline Junction) flyover in Port Harcourt in August.
Also in October, Wike accepted the Lagos State Government’s invitation to attend a conference for women, where he gave his support to APC governorship candidate Sanwo-Olu for a second term.
The Peoples Democratic Party has been in crisis for months as Wike and four other PDP governors, collectively known as the G5, have demanded the resignation of Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s national chairman, claiming northerners shouldn’t be the party’s national chairman and presidential candidate.
The other governors who make up the G5 are Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State.
