To welcome Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, a sizable throng shut down Imo state on Tuesday.

The Kanu Nwankwo sports stadium, which is behind Imo State University, hosted the presidential campaign rally.

Supporters of the Labour party, drivers, and citizens from Imo villages could be seen swarming to the event to show their support for Obi’s bid for the presidency.

The governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodimma, and Obi arrived at the airport simultaneously as part of a welcoming spectacle that many described as a boost for Obi’s visit.

Around 12:30 pm, Obi and Uzodimma met at the Sam Mbakwe Imo airport and exchanged pleasantries. They supposedly came at the same time.

They talked in a fraternal way. They were connected to one another. They spoke quietly to one another. They chatted amicably while walking side by side.

According to reports, governor Uzodimma was going back to Imo, and Obi had come to the state of Imo to conduct his campaign rally.

Obi asserts, “We will convert Nigeria into a place where people have work and where young people with vitality would participate in national governance. Additionally, my government will sit down and negotiate with professors to fully eliminate anything related to strikes.

To advance the nation, we are going to invest in education because it is one of the methods to tell a developed country from a non-developed one. Our administration would make sure that Imo State exports both palm oil and cassava as part of our ambitions to develop a production economy rather than a consumption one. We are not here to discuss false promises.

Yusuf-Datti Ahmed, the Labour Party’s vice presidential candidate, had earlier stated that Obi was the only name that the Northerners knew because of his ability and competency. Under Obi, Nigeria must be saved, protected, and advanced. Nigeria will switch from consumption to production, and to win the fight, Nigeria must supply power where it is needed.

Additionally, Mr. Doyin Okukpe, Director General of the Peter Obi Campaign Council, stated: “Nigerians are glad that God has given them a son who is ready to wipe away their tears and change the country for the better. Nigerians adore Obi for his acceptance, character, and pedigree and call on everyone to support him and elect him as president for the benefit of the nation.

Peter Obi will win or lose this election, stated Dr. Tobechukwu Ehirim and a Labour Party candidate for governor in Imo state who was one of the most effective mobilizers for Peter/Obi. Obi is the remedy, as Nigerians are already aware. With the help of our project T.J. Ehirim globally, we were able to mobilize across the state and outside of it, leading over 5,000 supporters of Obi/Datti from Imo state. Given the current circumstances, God will grant our request. Nigerians are sick of ineffective government, and Peter Obi is coming to fix that. Obi has been welcomed by Nigerians, and on that day, Obi will triumph.
