Obioma Seals Stunning NPFL Comeback with Abia Warriors

Former Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) top scorer Chukwuemeka Obioma has completed a sensational return to the league, signing with Abia Warriors ahead of the new season.

Obioma, who fired Enyimba to the NPFL title in the 2022–23 campaign and clinched the league’s Golden Boot, left Nigeria last year for Libyan side Al-Majd SCC. His comeback marks a major coup for the Umuahia-based club, as they prepare to battle on three fronts next season.

Reports indicate the prolific striker has agreed terms and will be officially unveiled before the season kicks off. His arrival is expected to inject firepower and experience into the Warriors’ attack as they aim for domestic and continental success.
