Ohanaeze Ndigbo has attributed any political manipulations on INEC, claiming that they created opportunities for such manipulations.
The top Igbo sociocultural organization stated that it would be terrible if INEC were unable to offer impenetrable protection for its essential materials despite being given every opportunity and available funding.
They should act as the regulator. They are tasked with regulating the election process, but the Commission tasked with doing so is now grumbling. How do we get there?
To guarantee that everything operates as intended, a mechanism should be in place.
“We’re supposed to be complaining to them, but right now they’re complaining to us.
“Some of these things must be happening because there must be an opportunity.
“Of course these things won’t be happening if there is an electronic model they are trying to use,”
There is a chance that the 2023 election will be manipulated.
Their nonverbal cues can be them withdrawing from what they portrayed to the public.
They contribute to the issue by failing to offer adequate safeguards against all of these abnormalities.
Dr. Alex Chidozie Ogbonnia, national publicity secretary for Ohanaeze Ndigbo, said: “That is exactly what they have been doing, what they in INEC for a very long time until now, and if with all the opportunity and money given to them, they have not been able to ensure a credible election and avoid irregularities; it is unfortunate.”
