Native Nigerian rapper Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, often known as Oladips, has retaliated against Grammy Award-winning Afrobeat singer Wizkid for his most recent remarks regarding the Rap Music genre.

Rap music was recently branded as a dead and uninteresting genre by Wizkid in an interview with the London-based 10 magazine, who also noted that rappers lacked originality.

I don’t listen to rap because I find it to be monotonous and worn out. These guys all perform the same actions and use the same beats and flows.

Wizkid’s remarks about rap music, which have elicited a variety of responses from social media users, don’t seem to have sat well with Oladips, a leading indigenous rapper.

Oladips criticized Wizkid’s statement in its entirety in the 59-second clip, advising him to be quiet if he had nothing inspiring to say to rappers.

He also made fun of Wizkid for frequently utilizing the phrase “she tell me speak” in his songs.

Oladip’s diss song includes the line, “She tell me say, Mr she tell me say wetin? Shekini hip-hop? She said that when she got up this morning, hip-hop was already dead. Go back to bed if you’re feeling drowsy, Daddy Bolu, by saying “Torun bakun yin.”

He also questioned Wizkid’s decision to criticize artists rather than support them. When did you last assist the rappers? Can you respond? Se e le da hun sha.

Not content with that, Oladips also criticized Wizkid for not keeping track on his signee, “Terri,” in the music business. “Person, how did you sign that? What about the individual you signed with? He now suffers as a victim.
