On November 23, 2022, Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, and Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, his running mate, will take their campaign to Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State in southwest Nigeria.
This was said in a statement made on Saturday in Abuja by Dr. Yunusa Tanko, the Chief Spokesperson for the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council.
The campaign rally will take place at Adamasingba Stadium (Lekan Salami Stadium), according to the statement.
The attendance of all party leaders and Labour Party candidates from the Southwest at all levels is anticipated.
Tanko stated, “The Rivers State Governor, Neeson Wike, extended an invitation to the Labour Party Candidate, Peter Obi, and his vice, Dr. Datti Baba-Ahmed, to commission one of the bridges built by the state government on Thursday.
“The event changed into a sort of Labour candidate campaign rally as his followers, the Obidients, organized themselves to welcome him in opulence.
The governor of Rivers State had promised to help Obi/Datti with all the necessary logistics whenever he was ready to run for office in the state, therefore the visit was also a turning moment in the campaign.
