ONCE MORE, SOLDIERS ATTACK A LASTMA OFFICER AS PAYBACK.

In the early hours of August 14, 2023, some irate soldiers confronted one of the officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), threatening to put him to sleep for an unspecified traffic offense.

An eyewitness told Vanguard that the incident took place at 8 am and that eight troops grabbed the LASTMA official and beat him for a while.

The soldiers were shown beating up the LASTMA officer as he begged fervently to be left alone in a video that has gone viral.

Other LASTMA officers fl£d to the scene as one of the attackers was seen knocking the officer to the ground.

Meanwhile, it was learned that the move was taken in reprisal for a last week allegation that LASTMA officers had killed a soldier in the same Ojota region.
