Rotimi Akeredolu, the executive governor of Ondo State, has returned to Nigeria following a three-month medical stay overseas.
Akeredolu, who traveled to Germany for medical treatment after becoming ill in June, returned to his home in lbadan, Oyo State, on Thursday, September 7.
According to Vanguard, members of the state Executive Council and key party leaders have been asked to meet with him tomorrow, Friday, at his lbadan mansion.
Members of Akeredolu’s cabinet, led by acting governor Lucky Ayedatiwa, are due to brief him.
According to sources, the governor will remain in Lagos for a few weeks before returning to work full-time.
On July 15, the governor declared that his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, would lead the state in a “acting capacity” until he could resume and be certified fit by his medical physicians.
