Ifeanyi Okowa, the vice presidential candidate for the PDP, claims that Nigeria requires strong commitment from its leaders to overcome the current security issues that plague the majority of the nation.
He made this statement in Bauchi at a gathering held by Christian and Muslim leaders in support of the Atiku/Okowa presidential campaign.
Speaking to attendees from the 19 northern states, Mr. Okowa expressed concern over the ways in which kidnappings, banditry, conflicts between farmers and herders, and insurgency had harmed the nation’s economy.
However, he expressed optimism that the Peoples Democratic Party would change the unfavorable narrative by enacting successful economic policies if given the mandate.
The Atiku/Okowa ticket is the finest option for Nigeria, according to Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, who was represented by his deputy, Senator Baba Tela. He also pledged his unwavering support for their campaign.
Ayuba Abok, the event’s organizer and speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, emphasized the value of peaceful coexistence and said that because of their commitment to guaranteeing a united Nigeria, they will back Atiku/Okowa in the 2023 election.
According to Ayuba Abok, the PDP has produced presidential contenders who are capable of carrying out their promises.
