The wedding date between Oba Enitan Adeyey Ogunwus, the Ooni of Ife, and Opeoluwa Elizabeth Akinmuda, his second wife, has been formally announced.

The wedding service and celebration for Olori Opeoluwa Elizabeth Akinmuda are scheduled for Saturday, May 20, 2023, and the palace has extended an invitation to family members and dignitaries.

The Queen will ceremonially enter Ile-Ife’s storied and revered Ife Oodua Palace prior to the event.

The celebrated Yoruba king wed Princess Temitope Adesegun, his sixth wife, months prior to the wedding reception.

At MRA Community Hall 15, Tokunbo Macaulay Street, Magodo Phase 2 Shangisha, Lagos State, the event took place.

At different times in his life, the monarch had divorced two wives, Olori Zainab and Olori Naomi.

The royal guards, palace chiefs, and other royal servants will formally acknowledge Opeoluwa Elizabeth as the new Queen and represent the Yoruba monarch at the celebration.

Beginning on September 6, 2022, with Mariam Anako, an Ebira from Kogi State, he married five women between September and October 2022.

Then, on September 7, 2022, he wed Ondo native Elizabeth Opeoluwa Akinmuda.

He wed Tobi Phillips, an Okitipupa, Ondo State native, as his third wife on October 9, 2022.

On October 14, 2022, Ashley Afolashade Adegoke, a princess of Ile-Ife, married his fourth wife. Then, as his fifth wife, he wed Ronke Ademiluyi, another Ile-Ife princess, on October 20, 2022.
