Yemi Osinbajo, vice president, has advised young people in Nigeria to stay optimistic and not feel compelled to leave the country due to apprehension about the future.
At the 2022 Service of Nine Lessons and Carols held on Sunday night at the National Christian Center in Abuja, Osinbajo made this appeal.
“Fear of the unknown should not be permitted to drive our young people to leave the country in quest of greener pastures,” he declared. We can return to having greener pastures here. It calls for dedication and reliability.
Osinbajo, who was represented by Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, advised Nigerians not to feel dread or despair due to the difficulties the country is now undergoing in advance of the 2023 elections.
He expressed optimism that Nigeria would overcome its challenges and hold the elections and population count without hostility.
Osinbajo advised Nigerians to adopt a more optimistic outlook and to alter the prism through which they perceive the nation’s current difficulties.
Your celebration’s theme this year is “Fear Not,” he remarked. Even as we get closer to 2023, which has been described as a year when Nigeria appears to be at a crossroads, this is a very significant topic for all of us.
