Osun APC chieftain Olatunbosun Oyintiloye has urged members and leaders of the All Progressives Congress not to lose hope following the outcome of Saturday’s governorship election in Osun State.

Oyintiloye, a former lawmaker, made the call on Monday while speaking with journalists in Osogbo, the state capital.

He acknowledged the disappointment that may have followed the election result but urged party members to remain focused and united.

According to him, the party must learn from the outcome rather than allow the result to weaken its structure.

The Osun APC chieftain also called on leaders to strengthen their commitment to the party and work together to rebuild confidence among members and supporters.

He stressed the need for party leaders to examine the factors that shaped the election and identify areas that require improvement.

Meanwhile, he urged members at the grassroots to remain active and avoid actions that could deepen divisions within the party.

The appeal comes as political parties assess their performances after the governorship contest.

For the APC, the election result is likely to trigger further discussions about the party’s strategy, leadership and grassroots mobilisation in the state.

Oyintiloye’s message, therefore, focuses on resilience and preparation for future political contests.

Rather than allowing defeat to create lasting divisions, he wants the party to turn the setback into an opportunity to reorganise and strengthen its ranks.

The former lawmaker also urged party members to keep faith with the APC and remain committed to its political activities across Osun State.

As political activity continues after the election, the Osun APC faces the task of reviewing its performance and rebuilding its base ahead of future contests.

The outcome could also shape internal discussions about the party’s leadership and strategy in the state.

For now, Oyintiloye wants members to put the election behind them, learn from the experience and prepare for the battles ahead.
