A member of the House of Representatives representing Ibarapa North/Ibarapa Central Federal Constituency, Anthony Adepoju, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing the party’s prolonged internal crisis.
Adepoju, who is serving a second term in the National Assembly, announced his decision in a resignation letter addressed to the PDP chairman in his ward.
In the letter, the lawmaker said the lingering crisis within the party had negatively affected his performance and weakened unity among members.
According to him, the internal disputes had created deep cracks within the PDP, making it increasingly difficult to function effectively.
“I regret how this resignation may be received by my millions of followers at home and abroad, and I assure everyone that my next political move will be made known in due course,” he said.
The development adds to growing concerns over instability within the PDP ahead of future political contests.
