The Commissioner for Education, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu condemned the low turnout by students and pupils of primary and post primary education as The 2021/2022 academic session commenced on Monday .

She observed that ” the 2021/2022 academic session has commenced, but there is low turnout of students in the schools, most especially, boarding schools.

“I want to use this medium to implore parents and guardians to immediately send their children and wards to school as academic classes had commenced,” she stated.

On Monday, A statement by the Press Secretary of the ministry, Yakub Kamaldeen Aliagan, in Ilorin stated the Commissioner also charged principals in the state to be dedicated and be role models to their staff.

She said punctuality and dedication to duty should be their priority in order to live by example to the staff and the students being nurtured for future leadership.

Hajia Modibbo also rebuked some boarding schools that failed to prepare breakfast for the students on time and charged them to stick to the time for breakfast as officially scheduled.
