PASCAL AKUH, 28, WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY BY POLICE OFFICERS IN THE FEDERAL CAPITAL TERRITORY (FCT) OF ABUJA FOR REPORTEDLY STAGING HIS OWN KIDNAPPING.

On March 20, the FCT Commissioner of Police paraded a number of suspects, including Akuh, at the command headquarters in Abuja.

The CP said that “Akuh Chinemezeh reported at Apo Divisional HQ on March 14, 2023 at approximately 5:30 p.m. that his younger brother, one Pascal Akuh, 28 years old, called him and said he was arrested by Police & taken to SCID custody.”

Based on this, the police and the suspect’s relatives visited the SCID, IRT, and FCID detention facilities; however, they found that the suspect is not housed in any of them.

The suspect’s car was tracked to a location in Wumba, Apo, with the aid of a tracker that used coordinates.

Based on this information, detectives tracked down and detained the suspect later that evening at a hotel in Lokogoma.

The guy admitted during questioning that he staged his own kidnapping merely to test the love of the woman he planned to marry.
