Music executive Paul Okoye, popularly known as Paulo, has criticized human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju for accusing Nigerian singer Burna Boy of orchestrating the arrest of artist Speed Darlington.
Speed Darlington, also known as Akpi, was arrested in Owerri by the Nigeria Police Force’s Imo State Command, marking his second detention this year. His earlier arrest on October 4 led to a five-day detention before he was released on bail on October 9.
Adeyanju alleged on X (formerly Twitter) that Burna Boy was involved in Darlington’s recent arrest. Reacting on Instagram, Paulo dismissed the claim, calling Adeyanju a “social media lawyer” and demanding he show respect for Burna Boy.
“Lawyer Deji or whatever they call you, put respect on Burna Boy’s name,” Paulo wrote. “Get your facts straight before you open your mouth. Control your client!”
