Babatunji Wusu –

The PDP has disagreed with the decision of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal that invalidated Atiku Abubakar’s petitions challenging Bola Tinubu’s election as president.

The opposition party claims that the justices’ decision defies reason and fails to consider the truth as well as the rules of the constitution and the Electoral Act.

This was said in a statement released by the PDP’s national publicity secretary on September 6 in Abuja.

The judgment goes against common sense, the facts and supporting evidence that were provided in court, the pertinent electoral laws, guidelines, and regulations, as well as the Federal Republic of Nigeria Constitution, 1999 (as amended).

The PDP will analyze the judgment in detail with our attorneys and determine the appropriate course of action within the bounds of the law as a law-abiding political party.
