Babatunji Wusu –
In response to former Enugu-North Senator Chukwuka Utazi’s resignation from the party, Mike Onyeze, the zonal chairman of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu North Senatorial District, Enugu State, has responded.
The former legislator reportedly informed Chief Robert Ezeagu, the PDP Chairman in Nkpologu Ward of the Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, of his decision to retire on Sunday, according to Naija News.
Utazi claims that the reason he left the PDP was because the party no longer upheld the principles that first drew him there. He went on to say that he must locate a new party that shares his goals.
But he kept quiet about the new group he would be camping out with.
In response to the incident, the Zonal Chairman stated that the party will contact Senator Utazi to invite him back to the party during a Monday interview with media in Nsukka.
According to him, Utazi may have some grievances against the party, just like any other family or organization, but they are usually settled peacefully.
He declared, “Utazi might be upset over his decision to quit the party he had been a part of since 1998.
In order for him to retract the resignation letter, the party will get in touch with him to see whether the issues can be settled.
There are disputes in any organization, including families, from time to time. However, most of these are settled amicably after some conversation.
