In an effort to settle any internal disputes, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ordered all intra-party litigants to abandon their court proceedings on Tuesday in Abuja.
After the National Working Committee’s (NWC) 578th meeting, the party issued the decision in a statement released by Mr. Debo Ologunagba, National Publicity Secretary of the party.
According to Ologunagba, the committee issued the instruction following a careful examination of the party’s current situation.
He continued by saying that the decision was given by the party’s NWC in accordance with the 2017 amendments to the PDP Constitution and in keeping with the spirit of harmony and reconciliation.
He said, “The NWC calls on all party leaders, important stakeholders, and members to stay together and keep advancing the principles that have made the PDP known as a truly democratic party.”
The report of the Establishment Committee for the appointment of a substantive director-general of the PDP’s Peoples Democratic Institute was also taken into consideration and accepted by the NWC, according to Ologunagba.
