Peter Obi and Kwankwaso Ticket Faces Ganduje’s ‘Dead on Arrival’ Verdict Ahead of 202

Peter Obi and Kwankwaso ticket has come under fresh criticism after former APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje declared that the proposed alliance would fail to win Kano State in the 2027 general election.

Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, Ganduje dismissed the reported Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) ticket. He argued that it lacks the political strength and leadership record needed to attract voters in Kano.

“I don’t think Peter Obi and Kwankwaso’s ticket will succeed in Kano. It will not succeed. In fact, it is dead on arrival,” he said.

Ganduje also questioned Obi’s record as governor of Anambra State. He asked what legacy Obi left behind and argued that the former governor had not demonstrated enough experience to lead Nigeria.

Meanwhile, Ganduje turned his criticism to Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. He said the former Kano governor failed to secure two consecutive terms in office, unlike Ibrahim Shekarau and himself. He also argued that Kwankwaso had not built a legacy strong enough to persuade Kano voters or Nigerians that he could serve successfully as vice-president.

Furthermore, Ganduje repeated that the Peter Obi and Kwankwaso ticket would struggle to gain support in Kano. He insisted the proposed alliance was “dead on arrival” as political discussions ahead of the 2027 election continue.
