- Fraudsters Nabbed: Trio admits to impersonation and fraud.

The Zone 16 Police Command on Saturday apprehended three suspects for alleged fraud and possession of illegal drugs. This was disclosed by the zone’s spokesperson, SP Gunn Emonena, in a statement issued in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Acting on reliable intelligence, the Zonal Financial and Cyber Crime unit raided Rumukparali community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, leading to the arrest of Billion Ndubuisi, Charles Amachree, and Martins Chinemike. The suspects admitted to impersonating Ryam Bill, a US-based legal expert, and defrauding two victims, St. Andrea and Charlen Zielinsky, of $71,500.
During a search of their premises, officers recovered suspected cannabis, two vehicles, two laptops, and 10 mobile phones. The suspects attempted to bribe the officers with $17,000, which was firmly declined. The money was documented and will be presented as evidence in court.
SP Emonena noted that the AIG of Zone 16, Adebola Hamzat, reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding lives and property within the region. He emphasized the Nigeria Police Force’s dedication under IGP Kayode Egbetokun’s leadership to ensuring citizens’ safety.
