The Jigawa State Police Command has taken five alleged robbers, drug traffickers, and vandals into custody.

 

The command’s public relations officer, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, verified that the police had taken from the suspects a Dane pistol, knife, gunpowder, charms, vandalized cable wire, illegal substances, and food items.

He went on to say that on January 1, 2024, at approximately 1400 hours, a patrol team from the Roni Police Station made the arrests of two people from the Roni Local Government Area: 25-year-old Abbas Musa “m” and 22-year-old Ibrahim Hassan “m” for having cable wires that were highly likely stolen.

 

“The suspects admitted to having vandalized the cable wires at the Chairman’s residence, Roni Local Government Area,” he continued.

He reported to the Roni Police Station on January 2, 2024, at approximately 0600 hours, that a certain Abubakar Abdussalam’m’ of Dansure village in Roni had stated that, that same day, at approximately 0200 hours, some dishonest individuals had broken into his provision store in Dansure village and taken some food items and other valuable properties.

He claims that after receiving the report, police detectives moved quickly to find one Kamaluddeen Lawan “m,” a 22-year-old resident of Dansure village Roni LGA, who was found in possession of the following: 51 pairs of shoes, 21 chewing gum cartons, 35 washing soap tablets, 13 bottles of pomade, nine spaghetti pieces, 20 macaroni pieces, 19 noodles pieces, and 14 peak milk pieces.

He claimed that during questioning, the suspect admitted to breaking into the complainant’s store and taking the aforementioned, clearly identifiable things.
