Operatives from the Adamawa State Police Command, alongside local hunters, successfully raided a suspected kidnapper’s hideout in the Holma Mountains, located in the Song Local Government Area. During the coordinated operation by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, the armed suspects attempted to resist arrest by opening fire on the operatives.

In the ensuing gunfight, one kidnapper was neutralized, while others managed to escape with gunshot wounds. However, one suspect, identified as Mohammed Sale, was arrested. During the raid, police recovered significant weapons, including an AK-47 rifle, two locally made guns, and five rounds of live AK-47 ammunition.

The arrested suspect is currently in police custody and is providing valuable information to assist ongoing investigations. Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, praised the swift action of the operatives and local security partners. He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to eradicate criminal elements and ensure public safety. Investigations are still underway, and the public is urged to report any suspicious individuals, particularly those with bullet wounds.
